Incense Paper - Rose
A variation on the ancient room deodorizer, Papier d’Armenie (Paper of Armenia) combines Armenian paper incense with roses imported from Iran and Turkey to create a delightful, mellow floral fragrance.
In the 19th century when, on a trip to Armenia, Auguste Ponsot noticed the local people scented and disinfected their homes by burning benzoin and decided to import this traditional and ecologically-sound practice to France. The benzoin is applied to blotting paper, which absorbs the mixture while retaining the original fragrance of the benzoin resin, resulting in incense papers that deliver long lasting, pleasant fragrance and burn slowly with no flame. This la rose booklet combines the traditional, cleansing practice with the delicate scent of rose.
The incense papers are environmentally friendly, free of any propellants, and made of natural resin from the styrax tree and blotting paper made of natural fibers.
To use: fold a single paper accordion-style, light an end and quickly blow it out allowing it to burn slowly.
Each booklet contains 36 strips.
