About the Artist:
Vanessa Atlan lives and works in Los Angeles. She creates situations in the form
of installations, which combine an image with a story about a game or an autobiographical ritual. Deliberately experimental and multi-disciplinary, the artist uses various media, including photography, drawing, writing and sound. From her first collection, Paris-Méditerranée, to Wonderland Stereo - an imaginary music label, which tells the story of the lives of fantasy singers and groups - her various works have tended to structure themselves step by step, moving from fiction to reality like an existential thread. Influenced by American musical culture and films, her road movietype style and her photographic writing are reminiscent of the work of Wim Wenders.
