Why are you named Broome St. General?

Our shop was inspired by Broome St. which runs east and west across downtown Manhattan. NoLiTa was a new nickname for the neighborhood North of Little Italy and east of Broadway and Broome St. was the southern border. Before the year 2000, It's where inspired young businesses were squeezing their shops bewteen established family businesses that were core in the Immigrant neighborhood for generations. Many of those storefronts are still there today and our shop is a tribute to the confluence of both- filled with luxurious neccessities for you, your family and your home.

How many locations do you have?

We have 2 shops located across the street from each other on Rowena Ave. in the Silver Lake Neighborhood of Los Angeles.

Do you have a store in Japan?

Not at the moment. We had a Shop-in-Shop for the launch of editorial darling CPCM, located in Shibuya, Tokyo.  Our pop-up engagement ran from November 2015-February 2016.

How do you pick the items for Broome St. General?

There are items and brands that we sought out based on what I bought for my first apartment on Broome St. in NYC. It was a time when shopping local was actually the easiest way, so most of the items came from shops in my neighborhood. Today we're lucky to work with companies behind many of those original items, some of the world's most prestigious and innovative makers from around the world. We use products, from all of the Brands that we partner with, in our own home first... before they are on the shelves at Broome St. We try to find things that fill a need. Sometimes that need is luxurious, sometimes it's practical and sometimes you're looking for a delicate balance of the two. We are avid finders and buyers, but a lot of great products find us. ALL ORDERS PLACED BETWEEN JANUARY 18, 2017 - JANUARY 30, 2017 WILL BE PACKED AND SHIPPED ON JANUARY 31, 2017.  OUR SITE IS STILL IN BETA, SO WE GREATLY APPRECIATE YOUR PATIENCE.
How much do you charge for shipping?

All Orders over $150 qualify for free shipping
Orders under $60 are charged $6.95 for Priority 3- Day Shipping.
Orders between $60-$150 are charged $11.95 for Priority 3- Day Shipping
Orders with Freight Items- rates are calculated at checkout and based on: weight and/or volume of selected articles and delivery address.

How quickly does my order ship?

It wouldn’t be convenient if we didn’t get you what you wanted as quickly as possible. We process and ship all orders within 24 hours. All orders sent by 1PM PST will be processed and shipped that business day. Orders received after that time, or on weekends will be shipped the following business day.

Where does Broome St. General & Co. ship?

We ship within the 48 contiguous United States. We do not ship to P.O. boxes.

Do you ship Internationally?

We can ship to most countries, however it adds an additional 72 hours to your order processing. Please send us an email (customerservice@BroomeStGeneral.com) if you would like your order shipped internationally.   We will be happy to assist you and prepare a tailored quote for you. Some restrictions apply.

How do you ship orders?

We ship to you finding the fastest route we can. So we ship via USPS Priority, FEDEX, UPS, OnTrac and DHL.

How do I get my order faster?

You can choose expedited shipping at checkout. Rates are calculated at the time of purchase and are based on: weight and/or volume of selected articles and the delivery address.

How can I return my online purchase?

Log-in to your account to initiate the return process.  You can print and download your return label from your account.  Carefully pack your item(s) in the original packaging (including protective wrap and outer box) and include your completed return form. 

Can I exchange my online purchase?

At this time we do not accept exchanges, please send the item back to us as a return and repurchase the correct or different item.  

Do you offer price adjustments?

We pick items that we think will stand the test of time and hope you will love for a long time, so price adjustments are not apart of our business practices.  We will occasionally have special promotions and end of season sales so please create an account here to sign up to receive information about those events.

Do you accept late returns?

Your purchase should be sent back to us within the 14 days of receiving your order. We cannot accept any returns that do not meet our Return Policy at this time.
