ALL THE THINGS, A Journal from the Founders of Broome St. General
When we closed over 2 weeks ago we did it to make a plan for operating in the new normal. We knew we couldn’t keep doing things the way we were & just add delivery.
So we spent our 12 days closed assessing the new world, determined to continue to serve our community for what we anticipated would be a long road.
KEEP THE MAKER'S MAKING!
A few human beings longing for connection / a small printmaking workshop based out of Oakland, California. They specialize in hand-printed & assembled objects, and are blessed to be able to make them in a small studio by an Oakland farmhouse with a lemon tree.
I want to level with you all. Broome St. General, owning it, running it, our 12+hour workdays, at least 6 days a week. It’s all a dream come true. I love the humility of hard work. I know I’m teaching my kids to work hard for their dreams.
I’m grateful to our team that is made up of people who are also pursuing their dreams, but they are practical. They have bills to pay and I believe they all will be famous tomorrow (or the day after that)... but until then, I’m glad we have built a business that can support them while they pursue their dreams.
